According to an article in the Aug. 6 issue of Science, the name has been changed (because the E-biomed title is already held by a publisher of biomedical journals), and the notion of a "preprint" server has been dropped.
"In the revised version, E-biosci would serve as host to scientific groups and journal publishers".
