(1) You suggest that the "array of analogies" in the LOPE posting might be re-termed or "re-signified" to enable experimental approach.
Please imagine yourself an "alien" observing a 4th millenium human spaceship with 500 humans and their host of living accessories, or a 5th millenium human spacestation colony of 10,000 individuals. What terms would you use for a program to learb the nature of Life in these monocell and polycell life forms ?
(2) Yes. I say that every cell, in which a gradual change goes on leading toward a particular result, is inhibited by live beings which indeed ARE macromolecules that reproduce themselves in a mechanism initiated and prompted by energy, to store it in various forms and to utilize it for repeating this process over and over.
(3) I agree with you that there is no "enhancing of energy" in a living process and that this term should be deleted from the text of the posting.
(4) I am not ashamed to admit that do no understand the second half of your subject message. I find myself in agreement with you if you mean what I think you say, namely that the various PNs in their various complexes, not unlike polycell life forms, stay alive and functional for some time only in their natural circumstances and cease to live in circumstances not natural for them.
