I agree. This is exactly what we observe for E. coli. It is considered to be
different for a multicellular organism but I think it is the same. The germ
cell is like an E. coli F1, able to produce a new colony. Thus nothing is
transmitted.
However many authors propose that heredity is explained by the transmission of
the genetic program. The GP is the prevalent theory of heredity, despite its
epistemological basis, which is opposed to the theory of evolution (as
summarized in "the program God").
It seeems that, in general, molecular biologists and geneticists adhere to the
GP concept (see your list) whereas people in epistemology and history are most
reluctant.
Is it also your opinion ?
